She arrived two weeks after her due date and has been making an entrance ever since. Her first guest list was drawn in crayon.
One tiny flat, a borrowed table and friends who came for dinner and stayed for twenty years.
Five years by the river, a second language and a habit of toasting everything, Tuesdays included.
Over a very long lunch she sketched this weekend on a napkin: a country house, a long table and everyone she loves.
